Yurii Sobolevskyi: Occupiers putting more pressure on people in temporarily occupied territory of Kherson region
The humanitarian situation got worse in the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson region, and there is more pressure on locals to agree to the so-called evacuation.
Yurii Sobolevskyi, First Deputy Head of Kherson Oblast Council, made this statement at a briefing at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.
“The situation is very difficult for our people there, because there is also more pressure to force russian passports on them. They continue to pressure the population to go and get passports. There are restrictions on access to medical services, because they tell people that without a passport there will be no mandatory russian-style medical insurance policy, then there will be no medical services,” he said.
According to Yurii Sobolevskyi, the situation with meeting humanitarian needs and providing basic necessities is getting worse in the occupied regions.
In addition, he noted: that the occupation authorities continue to put pressure on children.
“The so-called youth army, which they are trying to create there, dressing children in military uniforms, brainwashing them. In this regard, they also work very hard,” he added.
First Deputy Head of Kherson Oblast Council noted that people are being forced to agree to the so-called evacuation in certain communities and settlements.
“Now there is pressure on people to agree to the so-called evacuation, which is in fact a deportation, to Ufa and other evacuation destinations that they have. They promise support, housing certificates, and financial assistance. But we see that there are no people willing to agree to this. Because everyone perfectly understands what it really is,” added Yurii Sobolevskyi.
