We Recommend That Educational Institutions of the Sumy Region Resume Offline Training and Reduce Winter Holidays — Head of Oblast Military Administration
Most educational institutions in the Sumy region now conduct tuition in a mixed mode, but in the area 20 km from the border with russia, children study exclusively online. Dmytro Zhyvytskyi, Head of Sumy Oblast Military Administration, stated this during the briefing in the Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.
“Concerning the area at a distance of 20 km, the regional committee decided to study only online, so as to avoid endangering children while they visit educational institutions. The rest of the children in the region are taught in a mixed form. We recommend resuming offline learning so that children are in the team and have better education. Now in most localities of the region, children have winter holidays. Each local government body decides on the timelines and dates of winter holidays on its own. But we recommended minimizing the holidays so that children start attending educational institutions earlier, so as not to study in the summer, and so that the educational process is not interrupted and we do not lose the quality of education, especially of secondary education in schools,” Dmytro Zhyvytskyi said.
