We need to take care of stocks of food, water and medicines — Yuriy Sobolevskyi explains how Kherson will function during long curfew

During the planned 58-hour curfew in Kherson, which will last from May 5 to 8, medical facilities will remain open, and evacuation will be carried out in coordination with the military administration. However, it is necessary to stockpile food, water, and medical supplies.

Yurii Sobolevskyi, First Deputy Head of Kherson Oblast Council made this statement at a briefing at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

“It is necessary to prepare in advance. The health care will work. Medical services will be available if necessary, and ER will work. But everything else will be closed. Evacuation measures will be carried out by authorized transport, these processes will also continue. But everything else will have to wait,” he added.

According to the Deputy Head of Kherson Oblast Council, the opportunity for self-evacuation will be limited during the curfew.

“There really is an opportunity for evacuation. It is enough to simply inform the military administration to receive help during this voluntary evacuation. As for self-evacuation during the curfew, it is restricted. It is possible to do so either in advance, before the curfew begins, or later. Or contact the military administration for help with voluntary evacuation, which will provide assistance to make it possible to leave,” he explained.

In addition, Yurii Sobolevskyi pointed out that the introduction of a long curfew in the city is connected with the request of law enforcement agencies that need to take stabilization measures.
