“Vaccination Bus” launched in the Lviv region

Mobile vaccination teams, where you can get vaccinated against infectious diseases for free, will operate in Lviv and several districts of the region. The locations include modular towns and centres for IDPs. The main goal is to make the immunisation process more accessible to IDPs. Thus, the Lviv region joined World Immunisation Week, said Orest Chemerys, Head of the Health Department of the Lviv Regional State Administration.

“All vaccines are available in sufficient quantities. Given the large number of IDPs, we want to emphasise that you can get vaccinated for free even if you do not have a declaration with your GP. State medical institutions or private ones with a signed agreement with the Ministry of Health of Ukraine provide all vaccines guaranteed by the state”, said Natalia Ivanchenko, General Director of the Lviv Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health.

Today, medical institutions in the region are provided with free vaccines against 10 infectious diseases and the coronavirus. In addition to vaccinating children, doctors remind adults to take care of updating their vaccinations. In particular, against tetanus and diphtheria, which you should do every 10 years. According to statistics from the Lviv Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health, only 9% of adults in the Lviv region have received their dose of renewable diphtheria and tetanus vaccines, although this is available for free.

?Media Center is located at 20 Ruska Street and functions as a co-working space from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
