University Admission Campaign 2023: the Ministry of Education and Science and the Education Quality Assessment Center Still Think about the Format. It Is Possible That the Results of This Year’s Test Will Not Be Accepted

The Ukrainian Education Quality Assessment Center and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine are still developing the concept of admission tests for the 2023 campaign. It means it is possible that this year’s Multiple Subject Test results will not be accepted for admission, and the 2022 school graduates will have to take the test again.

Valerii Boiko, Acting Director of the Ukrainian Education Quality Assessment Center, stated this during his briefing at Media Center Ukraine.

“We had a short meeting with the Minister; there is an agreement that, once we decompress, we take care of the admission campaign. We still have a special session scheduled, as we completed the registration for a special session of the National Multiple Subject Test just yesterday, and about 7500 graduates will take the test in September. As soon as the special session for the admission to master’s courses is finished, the Ukrainian Education Quality Assessment Center will be ready to present its vision of the tests for the year 2023 in late September or early October,” Valerii Boiko said.

According to him, the Ministry of Education and Science and the Ukrainian Education Quality Assessment Center are considering the options of holding a classic External Independent Evaluation the next year and introducing an expanded multiple-subject test.

“I would refrain from saying that this year’s results will be used the next year,” Valerii Boiko added.
