“Ukraine’s Armed Forces are clearing Kherson from remaining russian troops, citizens are urged not to leave their homes,” Serhii Khlan

In Kherson, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are currently clearing the city of the remnants of the occupying forces, citizens should stay at home. Serhii Khlan, Deputy of the Kherson Oblast Council made this statement at a briefing at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

“We understand that some part of the russians stayed, changed clothes, could not cross, and they are now scattered around Kherson. It is unclear how many of these people there are. It will be possible to make an official statement when the Command of Ukraine’s Armed Forces announces it, and they will announce it when they finish the sweep. Now the remaining russians are looking for ways to cross the Dnipro and get to the left bank. Accordingly, a part will surrender, another part will be liquidated by Ukraine’s Armed Forces. After that, it will be possible to say that Kherson is completely under the control of the Armed Forces and cleared of the enemy,” — Serhii Khlan explained.

Also, he says, the humanitarian situation in Kherson is extremely difficult due to the actions of the occupiers.

“The situation with bread is difficult, the situation with fuel is difficult, there has been no electricity for a week, accordingly, there has been no bread, because power is needed for the bread factory to work. Unfortunately, there is no connection. Mobile Internet appears in some places, but it is so weak that only messages come through. It has been impossible to contact and talk with Kherson for the second day, only through messages, both short and infrequent, because the mobile Internet is very weak,” — the Deputy of the Kherson Oblast Council said.
