Truck mass at Hungary border as Polish crossings cloged

The number of trucks waiting to cross the border with Hungary on their way to Ukraine has increased. Thus, on Monday morning, 750 trucks were queued up at the Tysa border crossing.

Andrii Demchenko, Spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, made this report at a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.

“We also record an increase in the number of trucks heading to cross the border from Hungary to Ukraine. This situation is due to the other directions blockade or heavy traffic. As of this morning, Hungary gets about 750 Ukrainian trucks queues at the Tysa border checkpoint,” said Andrii Demchenko.

We also recall that, since November 6, Polish truckers have been blocking Ukrainian carriers at three Polish-Ukrainian border checkpoints: Hrebenne-Rava-Ruska, Korczowa-Krakivets, and Dorohusk-Yahodyn.

On November 23, it became known that the blockade was extended to the Medyka-Shehyni border crossing.

In addition, starting from December 1, Slovak road haulers have set to block truck traffic through the Vysne Nemecke crossing, opposite the Ukrainian city of Uzhhorod.
