This year’s Day of Remembrance of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred to be held under the slogan “Let’s remain worthy of our heroes”
In 2024 the Day of Remembrance of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred, observed annually on February 20, will be commemorated with the slogan “Let’s remain worthy of our heroes.”
Rostyslav Karandieiev, acting First Deputy Minister of Culture and Information Policy, made this announcement during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.
“We are steadfast in our commitment to honor the memory and valor of our heroes. Moreover, I believe that the ongoing theme of this slogan, which harks back to the events of a decade ago, urges us to persist—let us remain devoted to the memory and the principles upheld by not only the heroes of the Revolution of Dignity but also those currently engaged in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict,” emphasized Rostyslav Karandieiev.
Karandieiev revealed that alongside various planned events for this solemn occasion, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy has commissioned a social advertising video to blanket the country’s media outlets on the Day of Remembrance of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred.
Furthermore, he underscored the ministry’s continued backing of artistic endeavors that shed light on the Revolution of Dignity.
“Undoubtedly, our efforts extend to the creation of other audiovisual content, a practice we have maintained and will continue. We are committed to consistently supporting artistic initiatives that highlight the events of the Revolution of Dignity. This commitment is outlined in the Ministry of Culture’s action plans for 2024 and beyond. Therefore, our dedication to this date, the Day of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes, remains steadfast, as we persist in producing national-patriotic and educational content that fosters the values of the Maidan uprising and ensures the upbringing of our youth and future generations,” added Rostyslav Karandieiev.
