There are no missile carriers on active duty, but the level of danger is high – Natalia Humeniuk on the current situation in the Black Sea
There are currently no missile launchers on alert in the Black Sea. The small missile ship, which was mentioned in the reports yesterday and was put on standby, was brought back to its basing point in the evening, and so far, it has not returned to its combat posts.
Natalia Humeniuk, Head of the United Coordinating Press Center of Security and Defense Forces of the South of Ukraine, made the relevant report at a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.
She noted that the missile carrier is kept at the basing point on standby and is ready to deploy as soon as given the order. It takes two to three hours to deploy to combat positions.
“We still assess the level of danger as high, as experience has shown that Russians can launch a missile strike from a naval missile carrier even from the bay. Although it is dangerous, such cases are already known. In addition, the enemy has recently been using so-called fake targets to provoke and test the response of our air defense systems,” noted Natalia Humeniuk.
