The pace of military support for Ukraine should constantly increase – Chargé d’affaires at the Ukrainian Embassy in Prague

Currently, the Czech Republic is implementing a large project with the United States and the Netherlands co-funding to supply Ukraine with a number of T-72M1 tanks.

Vitalii Usatyi, Chargé d’affaires at the Ukrainian Embassy in Prague, made the relevant statement during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

“This project involves, in particular, sending 90 tanks of a modified version of the T-72. But still, it’s only one of the projects among those now being implemented,” the diplomat said.

He emphasized that ongoing negotiations to ensure that tanks from the Czech Republic’s currently available stocks of military equipment are supplied to Ukraine and delivered directly to the front line are underway.

In addition, Mr. Usatyi noted the Czech Republic provides Ukraine with ammunition.

“Having excellent historical memory, the Czech Republic supports Ukraine by any means possible regarding military aid. As for the ammunition, we are talking about thousands of pieces and tens of thousands of ammunition of appropriate calibers for the weapons Ukraine is in great need of,” he said.

The diplomat emphasized that while implementing projects, the pace of military assistance should constantly increase.
