The Muslim world is full of russian propaganda, so we must tell the truth about the events in Ukraine — Sheikh Murat Suleymanov

Muslims living in Europe are well aware of the power of russian propaganda in the world. Turkey and Azerbaijan share similar positions, but not all countries are like that. Sheikh Murat Suleymanov, Mufti of the Religious Administration of Muslims of Ukraine UMMA, made this statement during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

“For example, when it comes to Muslims in Africa or other countries with a high rate of the Islamic population, they [Russians] have been working on this for a long time. They are still working on it very well. They say, “We are Muslims; we are against them; they are doing us harm.” We have resources, and we write about this in different languages. We also make statements: we explain to Muslims or organizations that contact us what is really happening here in Ukraine. It is our duty to speak out. If we remain silent, it is evil. Therefore, it is our responsibility. We need to work on it and try to do it accurately. When we do it right, there will be a result,” the Mufti said.
