The IAEA records mines at the Zaporizhia NPP buffer zone – Hryhorii Plachkov

The IAEA has confirmed a violation of the physical protection of Zaporizhia NPP.

It was stated by Hryhorii Plachkov, Head of the State Inspectorate for Nuclear Regulation (2017–2021), during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.

“This was too obvious from the very beginning of the Zaporizhia NPP occupation. But there is now a report from the International Atomic Energy Agency on the mining of the buffer zone of Zaporizhia NPP,” he added.
