The “ePPO” app has already been downloaded by 330,000 Ukrainian – developers

This app allows citizens to detect low-flying targets and help air defense units shoot them down. Andriy Kosyak, co-founder of the “Technari” group, developer of the ePPO mobile app, told about this during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine – Odesa.

“Since the beginning of the full-scale aggression, the idea arose – low-flying targets, missiles and drones, which are hiding in the folds of the terrain, and which are difficult for the locators to detect, can be detected by citizens. Because they may see what the locator won’t. If you see an aerial target, just open the program, select the type of target and click “send”. Due to their number, citizens can report the target’s flight and facilitate the work of air defense – the officers will simply receive additional information,” – Andriy Kosiak said.

He also added that the developers have certain information about how many targets were knocked down thanks to the mobile application, but Andriy Kosiak refused to report it.

“330,000 Ukrainians have already downloaded the app on their phones. The download rates have dropped a bit, because that’s the psychology of people. Someone might ask why they should install the app if they haven’t seen any missiles? But it’s a lottery. Someone has not seen it, and someone sees it regularly,” – the developer noted.
