The Belgorod-Dniester sea trade port will be sold at auction on March 3rd

The starting price of this object is 187 million 574 thousand UAH (4,6 mln USD). Oleksandr Slavskyi, head of the regional office of the State Property Fund of Ukraine in Odesa and Mykolaiv regions, announced this during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine – Odesa.

Oleksandr Slavsky said that the enterprise had been neglected in recent years, but in 2022 it worked quite powerfully. “The starting price of the lot is more than 187 million hryvnias. But we are sure that the price will rise,” Oleksandr noted.

He also mentioned the land is not a part of the privatization object. But the new owner will have the right to rent and buy the land in the territorial community. Also, the new owner must repay the company’s debts from wages and to the budget, as well as overdue credit debt, which as of September 30, 2022, amounts to 104 million 600 thousand UAH (2,6 mln USD).

Oksana Kiktenko, acting director of the state enterprise “Bilhorod-Dniester sea trade port” added the preparation for the privatization of this object lasted three years.

“The port has great potential. During the preparation for privatization, 252 objects were transferred from the balance sheet of the Administration of Sea Trade Ports to a single property complex. These objects include 9 ships, 4 diesel locomotives, 18 gantry cranes and 47 automobiles. Also, all arrests on the port’s accounts and property were lifted. Last year, the port handled 280,000 tons of various cargo. This year, the company is making a small but profitable profit. And it works! There are documents for everything that is on the company’s balance sheet,” said Oksana Kiktenko.

She also mentioned the new owner will be the only port operator in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi.
