Recognizing the crime of deportation of Ukrainian children as genocide is only a matter of time — Expert of “Regional Center for Human Rights”

Roman Martynovskyy, lawyer, Lead Expert at Regional Center for Human Rights NGO made this statement during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

“Recognition of the crime of deportation of Ukrainian children as genocide is only a matter of time. And another matter of time is when foreign leaders will stop extending a hand to putin instead of what we saw in recent days, when the visit of the Chinese leader (to russia — Ed.) took place,” — Roman Martynovskyy said.

He pointed out that the next step in bringing the perpetrators to justice will be a report to the UN Committee the Elimination of Racial Discrimination and the Human Rights Committee.

“We will take individual victims and defend them in these two committees. These messages will be connected to discrimination, which is related to the fact that children from the occupied territories, or children whom the russian federation sent to its territory, were actually forced to study according to russian standards and programs, which greatly affects the identity of these children.”
