In January 2023, the Odesa oblast will sign the partnership agreement with the French region of Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur

In total10 new cooperation agreements have already been signed. Roman Hrygoryshyn, Deputy Chief of the Odesa Military Administration, said this during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine-Odesa dedicated to EXPO 2030 in Odesa.

“During the presentation of Odesa’s application for EXPO 2030, a declaration of intent was signed with the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region. In January, we will sign an agreement on partnership relations. Soon they will vote on the allocation of the first funds for assistance to Ukraine. They will also support our application for EXPO 2030,” the official said.

As Hrygoryshyn said, before the full-scale war, Odesa Oblast’s partners were mainly regions of russia and belarus. “Now we have 10 new agreements on international cooperation, among them – Spanish Valencia, the state of Florida, the USA, the federal state of Baden-Württemberg. After the war, Odesa will come out with new partners and friends, a part of Europe, not the russian empire,” said Roman Hrygoryshyn.
