South Operational Command comment on information about Russian drones denoted in Romania
Natalia Humeniuk, Head of the United Coordinating Press Center of Security and Defense Forces of the South of Ukraine, commented on the information on enemy drones that fell and detonated during the overnight attack on the Odesa region on September 4 at a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.
She noted that the enemy has repeatedly taken advantage of the geographical feature of the region, launching drones as close to the state border as possible.
“Indeed, the distance there is so small that the error of the loitering munition, which is a kamikaze drone, and the combat work and its consequences can threaten the neighboring country. And the enemy, fully aware of this, has repeatedly benefited from the geographical feature of this region, launching drones as near as possible to the state border,” explained Natalia Humeniuk.
She emphasized that this report was recorded, and Ukraine informed a neighboring member of the Western military alliance of such a danger.
“And we have stated, we have recorded a hitting from the war in Ukraine. That is, Ukraine, as an open country with an open policy and open information, has informed the neighboring country’s soil without hiding anything. It is up to the neighboring country to respond,” she emphasized.
