“Sanctions work well, but we will never be satisfied with their level, so we have to convince the world that they need to be strengthened,” Yurchyshyn

Sanctions against russia work very well and they are perhaps the only peaceful mechanism to stop the war. Yaroslav Yurchyshyn, People’s Deputy of Ukraine, made this statement at a briefing at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

“It is because sanctions work very well that the russian propaganda says that sanctions do not work. We need to outpace the Western world, because when we demand new and new sanctions, each time the question arises: “And what about you?” We have a unique approach to sanctions. Due to the laws adopted in May last year, we can, by inclusion in sanctions lists, take away the property of russists and even people with Ukrainian citizenship who support russia’s terrorist activity, and promptly use these assets for the needs of the Armed Forces. We will never be satisfied with the existing level of sanctions, but we have to do our best to convince the whole world, not only the West, that sanctions need to be strengthened,” — the People’s Deputy said.
