russian shelling destroyed 6093 civilian objects in the Kherson region – Oleksandr Prokudin

“Due to russian shelling, 6093 civilian objects were reported destroyed in the region. 4210 residential buildings, 203 educational institutions, and 158 medical facilities of that number,” said Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson Oblast Military Administration, at a briefing at Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.

In addition, Oleksandr Prokudin noted that the work on communications restoration is underway in the de-occupied territories of the Kherson region, and critical infrastructure rebuilding is carried out daily.

“Experts are working to bring electricity, water, and gas to the region’s residents’ homes. Today we have already succeeded in achieving results. Through the support of the government and other regions, 154 out of 228 settlements are provided with electricity now. Although, this figure was 0 on the early day of de-occupation. In total, almost 189 thousand customers have been connected to the network, which is 85% of the total number of people. Centralized gas supply is 92% of the total number of people connected. Centralized water supply is delivered to 174 settlements out of 228,” he explained.

According to the head of the Kherson Oblast Military Administration, 10% of the territory of the Kherson region, which is 32 thousand hectares, has been demined.
