Occupants owe miners of Donetsk and Luhansk regions $24 million in wages – Eastern Human Rights Protection Group

The invaders also continue to confiscate the property of Ukrainians living in the occupied territories. This was stated by Vira Yastrebova, lawyer, director of the Shidna Pravozakhisna grupa (Eastern Human Rights Group), at a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine – Odesa.

“In Luhansk and Donetsk regions, the occupiers do not pay salaries to miners, and the debt has already grown to $24 million. In Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions, there is a three-month salary debt among employees of schools, hospitals and universities, as well as individual occupation administrations,” – the human rights activist said.

She also added that raiders have become more active in the occupied territories, continuing to confiscate Ukrainians’ property.

“In the occupied territories, the occupiers have created groups from the russian Guard and Migration Service that carry out raids aimed at detaining people on denunciations in order to identify “enemy collaborators”. Such people have their property confiscated. Thus, the occupiers take away   cars of people who were arrested during the filtration. There were 31 such cases in Luhansk and Donetsk regions,” – Yastrebova added.
