In the first hours after the earthquake in Türkiye, Ukraine announced its willingness to ensure assistance, about 100 rescuers have already gone to this area — the Ambassador

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine referred a group of rescuers to help eliminate the consequences of the earthquake in Türkiye.Vasyl Bodnar, Ukraine’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Türkiye, declared this during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

“Ukraine announced its willingness to ensure assistance from the first hours. A presidential order for assistance has already been issued, and the State Emergency Service is sending up to 100 rescuers to support Türkiye. Our rescuers can get there, at the earliest, even today. Detailed information will be available later until these groups have left the territory of Ukraine,” Bodnar said.

Mr. Ambassador pointed out that more than 50 countries have already announced assistance, a significant part of them has started the procedure of sending their rescuers.

“It is precisely known that it is Azerbaijan, Pakistan, Bulgaria, and Romania are assisting. One sends rescuers, another rescue equipment or planes. Furthermore, Sweden, which presides over the EU, has also declared the highest level of emergency — and the EU authorities are helping Turkey overcome the consequences,” the Ambassador said.
