For the Year 2023, UAH 1,560,000,000 of State and USD 420,000,000 of International Assistance for Agricultural Projects Is Provided — Ukrainian Agrarian Council

This year, the state will allocate more than one and a half billion hryvnias to support the agrarian sector. Funds from international banking systems will also be attracted. Denys Marchuk, Deputy Chair of the Ukrainian Agrarian Council, made this statement during the briefing in the Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

“All public funds that commodity producers received in the pre-war period are now concentrated on the military budget. Nevertheless, there is still funding for agrarian projects in 2023. We are talking about UAH 1,560,000,000, of which UAH 1,000,000,000 will be allocated to support horticulture and greenhouses. About 200 million will be spent to support the new area: water user associations have been created in Ukraine for the regions, where fields particularly need irrigation. A significant part of funds will go for keeping small family farms. Separately, another system exists at the expense of international banking systems: about USD 420,000,000 will be allocated under this program. Lending under the “5-7-9” program overlaps. We will have separate programs to support the cattle rearing in small farms. And support per 1 hectare will be provided too, as it was in 2021,” Denys Marchuk said.
