“eDopomoga — volunteers” platform: you can help Ukrainians make purchases at pharmacies, stores or gas stations

Over 4,000 families have already received help as the result of the work by “eDopomoga — volunteers” platform. More than 3,000 of them have received help online.

Kostiantyn Koshelenko, Deputy Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine in charge of digital development and digital transformations made this statement at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

“Every day, Ukrainians leave request for what they need on “eDopomoga — volunteers” platform. And anyone who can afford to do so, can fulfill these needs. After filtering the requests by region, volunteers usually provide help in person. However, this platform also has the option to help from a distance. Currently, people from 32 countries are providing help online,” — he said.

To help online, you only need to make a few clicks and pay for the need of a Ukrainian, who will receive a text with a prepayment code on his phone. With it, the citizen goes to a store or pharmacy, which is a partner of the platform, and there, at the cash register, the citizen uses this certificate to pick up the necessary product.

“Since the first of July, we have been in partnership with Fozzy Group network and the Master card payment system. Paying by card, each benefactor gives UAH 50, 70 or 100 of help to someone in need, in addition to the purchased goods. Since the beginning of July, more than 900 people have already received such increased assistance and support,” — Kostiantyn Koshelenko explained.

The standard size of the certificate is UAH 200, 500 and 1,000.

Recently, the platform added an additional function to help Ukrainians by paying for fuel, as Wog gas stations chain joined “eDopomoga.”

“Anyone from any country can help Ukrainians who need fuel to evacuate, move from a war zone or get to a hospital,” — the Deputy Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine in charge of digital development and digital transformations said.

All assistance is absolutely transparent, because the volunteer who paid for the needs of citizens receives a fiscal check on their phone.
