Cognitive de-occupation of Crimea can take from 10 years to one generation – Yevhen Bondarenko

During the discussion at Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform, Yevhen Bondarenko, Head of the Information Support Department of the Mission of the President of Ukraine in the AR of Crimea, expressed the opinion that the period of cognitive de-occupation of Crimea can last from 10 years to one generation.

“In general, we are talking about a period of cognitive de-occupation from 10 years to one generation. This is basically what was worked out. Everything depends on how the work will be synchronized,” he said.

Realizing that the Crimean Peninsula will definitely be liberated, Yevhen Bondarenko pointed out, work is currently underway on the priority steps for the state to implement within the framework of reintegration processes and measures.

He noted that there is already a final version of the strategic document on the cognitive de-occupation of Crimea, which provides a vector of movement and an understanding of the challenges necessary for the formation of priorities and the work ahead.

On the basis of the Mission of the President, a council on cognitive de-occupation of Crimea was created, which includes representatives of government agencies, experts, representatives of non-governmental organizations, including representative bodies of the indigenous Crimean Tatar people. The main task of the council is to start working on the tactical level, that is, the direct implementation of this strategy.
