At Vilnius summit, we will receive clear signals regarding NATO membership — Fedir Venislavskyi

Ukraine has already fulfilled the vast majority of requirements for NATO membership. Therefore, after the end of the war, we can expect a quick decision on Ukraine’s membership in the Alliance.

Fedir Venislavskyi, People’s Deputy of Ukraine, Member of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security, Defense, and Intelligence, Representative of the President of Ukraine to Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, expressed this opinion during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

He pointed out that the issues raised by the NATO member states as well the future prospects of Ukraine’s full membership in this organization were raised during international meetings held by the President of Ukraine during the last ten days.

“I think that at the Vilnius summit we will receive clear enough signals that will no longer require an action plan. Since Ukraine has already nearly fulfilled the vast majority of the requirements for applying for membership in this organization. And I think, immediately after the end of the war, after the de-occupation, the issue of a very quick procedure for accepting Ukraine into NATO directly — this is already an issue that, I believe, can be considered resolved.”
