Assembling drones at school labor lessons is a good initiative – expert

Children can find technical solutions and will be better prepared for future challenges. This opinion was expressed by Yaroslav Honchar, head of the Aerorazvydka NGO, at a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine – Odesa.

“My son is now on holidays, and he helps at a factory that manufactures components for drones. In addition, children can find new solutions. This is also the future initial training of operators. God forbid that the boys who will be assembling drones in schools will be mobilized in the army later. I got involved in drones myself in 2014 so that our children would not inherit the war,” – the expert said.

According to the expert, this is an acceptable idea, because “now there is a people’s war in Ukraine, and everyone wants it to end as soon as possible, but not everyone is doing enough to do so.”

In May 2023, the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Oksen Lisovyi said in an interview that “today children at school can assemble FPV drones. 3D printing is available for teenagers. Everyone needs to master all of this. We need to move away from the model of labor lessons, when girls are sewing machines and pots, and boys go to jigsaws.” He stated that in the interview to the Liviy Bereh media.
