As of the beginning of the week, the war crimes documented in Ukraine amount to 87 thousand; almost 10 thousand civilians and 461 children have been killed — Denys Maslov

Russia committed the initial crime of aggression against Ukraine back in 2014, and was preparing it even earlier. It was this crime that led to tens of thousands of others. Denys Maslov, Chairman of the Committee on Legal Policy, made this statement during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

“As of the start of this week, more than 87 thousand war crimes have been documented in Ukraine. We understand that there are more. Almost 10 thousand civilians alone were killed as a result of war crimes. That’s just considering those documented cases. Four hundred sixty-one children have died. Unfortunately, these statistics are growing at an ever-increasing rate every day. All of this would never have happened if not for the original crime. There would be no murders, torture, rape, kidnapping, or abduction of children, if not for the original crime of aggression committed by the russian federation, not on February 24, 2022, but much earlier, back in 2014. This crime was planned even long before that. Such individuals like putin, lavrov, shoigu and others must be held accountable,” Maslov said.
