11:00 АMKYIV– Antonina Samoilova, the first Ukrainian climber to summit the Manaslu 8,000 meter peak (personal participation)

Press conference: The first Ukrainian climber to complete ascent of the 8,000-meter Manaslu mountain aims to raise funds for medical oxygen supplies to save the defenders

Why is it interesting?
Antonina Samoilova became the first female Ukrainian climber ever to summit the difficult eight-thousand-meter-high Manaslu (previously achieved only by men). Antonina Samoilova climbed the Himalayan Manaslu, whose peak reaches 8163 meters, on September 28, 2023, at 7:00 AM. It took 37 hours to climb to the peak!

Before that, she also became the first climber to climb Mount Everest twice.

At the end of October, the climber intends to hold a dinner to share the incredible and dangerous details of her ascent and spend 100% of the funds raised on medical oxygen supplies for the Hospitallers, who save defenders on Ukraine’s front line.
