Presentation of “Current needs and prospects of meaningful career opportunities and professional growth for military veterans in Ukraine” survey results

Why is it interesting?
The Ukrainian Veterans Foundation is revealing the findings of its latest research, aimed at delineating the prevailing needs and hurdles encountered by Ukrainian veterans as they navigate the transition to civilian life and endeavor to advance professionally. Through an anonymous online survey, the study has unearthed invaluable insights into veterans’ vocational aspirations, support requisites, and proposals for enhancing the efficacy of specialized state institutions.

According to the survey findings, a notable 50.14% of participating veterans expressed a keen interest in entrepreneurial pursuits, while a mere 10% indicated a preference for traditional employment roles.

Foremost among the challenges confronting veterans is mental well-being, cited by a substantial 71.14% of respondents, closely trailed by concerns over inadequate remuneration, resonating with 68.94% of participants. By contrast, issues pertaining to physical health and the dearth of job opportunities in their respective locales garnered comparatively lesser attention.
