“Alert-Free Summer” in Lviv Oblast for IDP Children and Orphans
Lviv Oblast initiated an Alert-free Summer campaign for IDP children and orphans. The project calls for organizing leisure activities such as mountain hiking, swimming, visiting agritourism locations, and interactive museums. Natalia Tabaka, Head of the Tourism and Resorts Office of the Lviv Oblast Military Administration, presented the initiative during her briefing at Media Center Ukraine.
“Our goal is to let children decompress mentally and emotionally, get familiar with the local culture, and spend time carefree while being active. The idea is to have children visit the attractions we have. They include leisure parks, swimming pools, various master classes with the participation of famous people based on local traditions, climbing the Lopata Mountain,” Natalia Tabaka explained.
The project was initiated by the Tourism and Resorts Office of the Lviv Oblast Military Administration in partnership with the regional Office of Children Services and local businesses – restaurateurs and owners of various attractions. The project started on International Children’s Day. By now, 650 children from Luhansk, Kharkiv, Kherson, Sumy, Donetsk, Chernihiv, and Zaporizhia Oblasts, and shelters of Lviv Oblasts have taken part in the project. The project will remain active till September at least. Project initiators plan to organize entertainment for at least 1,000 children.
