After plane crashes, enemy increases use of unmanned scout drones

Having lost a large number of aircraft, the enemy increased the use of reconnaissance drones.

Natalia Humeniuk, Head of the United Coordinating Press Center of Security and Defense Forces of the South of Ukraine, made this statement during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.

“We see that it is more difficult for them to conduct reconnaissance, and as a result, the concentration of unmanned scout drones has increased. In particular, in our operational zone in the south, we observe about 200 reconnaissance drones in Zaporizhia and Odesa regions every day. They are also active over the Black Sea, as well as along the combat line. They are trying to gather as much information as possible about the regions far from the combat line, those deeper in the rear. But they are very significantly hindered by our electronic warfare and fire work,” she said.

According to Natalia Humeniuk, russian plane crashes also affected the activity of enemy aviation in the Kherson sector.

“The enemy uses tactical aviation very carefully here. After the plane crashes we mostly see that they tend to use tactical aviation from the Black Sea to launch missile strikes. That is, they are shifting the emphasis from guided aerial bombs to anti-radar or guided air missiles,” she explained.
