A payment processing feature for convenient voluntary insurance contributions from now on the Pension Fund of Ukraine website

The Pension Fund of Ukraine website presents a simple tool allowing one to pay an insurance premium in a few clicks.

Yuliya Sokolovska, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, made the relevant statement during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.

Presenting the tool processing the unified social tax payments, Yulia Sokolovska explained who could benefit from this option.

“An option for those who are not yet retired. These are people, for instance, receiving income while being abroad but still want to fund their future retirement benefits in Ukraine, having pensionable service to count toward accordingly. Those willing to can voluntarily make contributions using this tool. It also can be useful for people nearing retirement age who lost their jobs because of the war and wish to buy back pensionable services. For those who are currently working, however, receive low salaries and can increase overall pension at retirement with such voluntary contributions, this tool can be helpful as well,” she said.

Yulia Sokolovska emphasized the ease of use of the unified social contribution payment processing tool.

“It works very simply, an agreement is concluded, and a contribution is made in a few clicks in any amount and at any time. Then the Pension Fund system will work on its own and credit this contribution to your personal pension record,” said the Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

She is convinced that this payment processing feature will also help to keep in touch with Ukrainians who are now outside Ukraine because of the war.

“This is, among other things, a tool to communicate with our people abroad. As a country, we really want our people to come back, and this very tool is the one to help keep them emotionally connected to Ukraine and our plans for Ukraine. As a country, we are doing our utmost on all fronts to get people back. And this is one of the parts of that connection.”
