83 critical infrastructure objects in Kherson oblast to receive protection from enemy shelling – Oleksandr Tolokonnikov

The works to restore critical infrastructure in the region are still ongoing.

Oleksandr Tolokonnikov, Spokesman for the Kherson Oblast Military Administration, made this statement a briefing at Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.

“Only yesterday, at the Defense Conciliatory Council, Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of the Oblast Military Administration, suggested equipping 83 critical infrastructure objects with physical protestation from shelling as a matter of top priority. These are gas, water, and power (facilities – Ed.), which must be protected first and foremost,” he said.

At the same time, he added that work on renewing electricity and gas supply lines is still ongoing.

According to Oleksandr Tolokonnikov, out of 228 settlements on the right bank of Kherson region, 187 are currently connected to the electrical grid, while 41 settlements cannot be connected.

“31 settlements are under constant shelling and energy workers cannot carry out work there. And there are 10 settlements, in which not a single local inhabitant currently lives, there is no need to connect these settlements (to the grid – Ed.),” he added.

Besides, the Spokesman for the Kherson Oblast Military Administration added that water boreholes are currently being drilled in certain settlements, where the water levels in old wells and boreholes may drop as a result of the russians’ blowing up the Kakhovka HPP.

“The water supply network is being renewed there, new water pipes will also be laid, that is, it will be better than it was, one hundred percent. But there are two settlements with no water supply, water is delivered there (by cars – Ed.),” he explained.
