 68% of Europeans understand that this war is an attack on Europe: we need to emphasize the need to use sanctions to defend ourselves together — Vybranovskyy

Ukraine should explain to Europe that sanctions against russia are not needed only to protect our country but also the Europeans. Roman Vybranovskyy, Secretary of the Economic Security Council of Ukraine, made this statement at a briefing at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

“According to the latest polls, 68% of Europeans understand that this war is also an attack on Europe. Accordingly, we need to say that sanctions are not needed only to protect Ukraine but also the Europeans. Secondly, we know that Europeans have made a billion on shipping fuel to  us, because it was a more convenient option. Sanctions are also an opportunity to make money where markets and opportunities are lost in russia. One can say that working in russia is difficult, and one can show that the remainder of European businesses in russia are making pennies. Here is an example that we can start with: to earn money together, to push back the russian market together, to be safer together,” — the expert said.
