Yahodyn remains busiest checkpoint with 1,200 trucks standing in line at Ukraine-Poland border — State Border Guard Service

The border with the Republic of Poland remains the busiest direction. The most critical situation is at Yahodyn checkpoint, where trucks are waiting in line for up to 7 days.

Serhii Deineko, Head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine made this statement at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

“If earlier we recorded that lines of truck for departure used to form up at the border at the end of the week, and the workload would drop by Monday, now there are lines every day. This is an average of 300-800 trucks. Yahodyn is the busiest checkpoint, with at least 1,200 vehicles there every day,” — he said.

According to the State Customs Service, the most difficult situation is with the departure from Ukraine at checkpoints on the state border. Mainly there are 2,600 trucks in Yahodyn, 1,100 in Porubne-Siret,  760 in Rava-Ruska, 580 in Krakivets and 360 in Shehyni .

The head of the State Border Guard Service pointed out that the line of passenger vehicles is not critical: “40-50 passenger cars at checkpoints is not a critical situation. It is freight transport that is posing a problem right now.”

Drivers are urged to use the interactive map of checkpoints to avoid queues at borders —  https://dpsu.gov.ua/ua/map.
