With the drone attack on the Zaporizhia NPP, russia is trying to divert the attention of the international community from the crimes it is committing against Ukraine by destroying the country’s thermal power generation capacities.

Hryhorii Plachkov, Head of the State Inspectorate for Nuclear Regulation, made this statement during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.

“As for the drone attack, I believe that it is such a fake and a special operation by the disrespected russian federation, because they need to divert attention from the crimes they are currently committing (by destroying – Ed.) our thermal power generation capacities. They are convening a meeting of IAEA directors, so they will try to shift the responsibility for the troubles at the ZNPP to our state. That’s why I didn’t, don’t and won’t trust the disrespected russians,” he said.

Hryhorii Plachkov pointed out that according to the IAEA report, the shelling and drone strikes on the confinement of the sixth power unit did not affect the situation at the station and there is no nuclear danger.
