Ukrainian businesses demonstrate an overwhelmingly high rate of voluntary tax compliance, exceeding 99% – Roman Vashchuk

Despite numerous court cases initiated following tax audits, the revenue generated from these cases contributes a mere 1% to the overall Ukrainian budget. This indicates a remarkable one hundred percent certainty level of voluntary tax contribution by Ukrainian businesses.

Roman Vashchuk, Business Ombudsman, revealed these statistics during a discussion at the Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.

“Despite a significant number of audits and tens of thousands of annual court cases, only 1% of accrued monetary liabilities actually contribute to the general Ukrainian budget. Ukrainian businesses are voluntarily paying taxes at a rate exceeding 99%,” explained Vashchuk.
