Ukraine taking down the enemy patrol ship Sergey Kotov is seen as a strategic move in a broader mission

The obliterated russian patrol vessel, Sergey Kotov, posed a hindrance to the execution of several Ukrainian plans.

Dmytro Pletenchuk, Spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy, expressed his opinion during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.

“These operations, including Ukraine’s strikes on the occupiers’ ships, are interconnected. The Sergey Kotov ship played a role in safeguarding the water area and the Crimean Bridge, thus impeding other Ukrainian plans. However, Dmytro Pletenchuk, refrained from asserting a direct correlation. 

As a reminder, on March 5, the Ukrainian military hit and sank the enemy patrol ship Sergey Kotov following a sea drone attack.
