 Ukraine fulfills 70% of Association Agreement, 10 more European integration draft laws under consideration — Mezentseva

The Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU designed to enable the transition from cooperation to political association and economic integration, has been in effect since September 2017. Maria Mezentseva, Member of the Verkhovna Rada, Head of the Permanent Delegation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, who is currently at EU-Ukraine Summit, commented on the prospects of the agreement at a briefing at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

“Let’s not forget about the general document — the Association Agreement, which the Ukrainian parliament, the Ukrainian government, and the President’s Office absolutely never fail to focus on. Approximately 70% of this agreement has been completed. For example, today, at (a meeting of) the Committee on European integration, which ended literally half an hour ago online, we considered 10 more European integration bills that will be voted on in the Ukrainian parliament in the near future,” — Mezentseva said.
