Thousands of Mariupol Residents stated, “Mariupol Is Ukraine”

In Kyiv, Dnipro, Odesa, Lviv, Ternopil… Mariupol Is Ukraine, a national rally, was held all over the country. In all cities, Mariupol residents gathered near YaMariupol (I am Mariupol) centers with blue-and-yellow flags. They showed the whole world that Mariupol was, is, and will be Ukrainian!

Most residents of Mariupol – over 200,000 people – left the city for the territory under the control of Ukraine. They have already made their choice. Each participant is a resident of Mariupol, with their own story of surviving in the blockaded city. The russian invaders brought war, destruction, and death to their homes.

People still remain in the occupied city for various reasons; however, they are waiting for Ukraine’s Armed Forces and believe in Ukraine. They are unable to state it free because of danger.

“Mariupol Is Ukraine! It was, it is, and it will be! Thousands of Mariupol residents will state it today. Theirs is the genuine voice of our city. Hundreds of thousands of families are waiting for the liberation of their city from invaders and the return home. And this is what will happen!” Vadym Boichenko said.
