The flu season in Ukraine began in October and is currently more severe than last year. Ihor Kuzin, Chief State Sanitary Doctor, Deputy Minister of Health of Ukraine, made this statement at a briefing at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

“As for the seasonal flu, this season is more severe than the 2022 season. We record quite high infection rates. We also record fairly high mortality rates. As of today, there have already been 8 flu-related deaths. In the 2021-2022 season, no deaths were recorded during the same period of time. As of now, 133,000 people have been vaccinated, of whom more than 87,000 are from risk groups,” — he said.
