The Russian army launched more than 60 artillery and multiple rocket launcher (MRL) attacks against Kharkiv, Derhachi and Piatykhatky over the past 24 hours

Last night the enemy conducted over 60 artillery shells and multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) strikes on infrastructural facilities and residential areas of Kharkiv, Derhachi and Piatykhatky.

✅This was reported by Oleksandr Motuzyanyk, Spokesman for the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine at a briefing at the Ukrainian Media Centre, taken place in Kyiv.

?“The enemy continues a partial blockade of Kharkiv, inflicting fire attacks. Over the past day, the aggressor launched more than 60 artillery and multiple rocket attacks on infrastructure and residential areas of Kharkiv, Derhachi and the settlement of Piatykhatky,” said Motuzyanyk.

According to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, six attacks were repulsed in the Donetsk and Luhansk provinces territories in the past 24 hours. Our air forces shot down a hostile Su-25 jet aircraft.

The goal of the enemy’s actions in eastern Ukraine remains the same – to establish full control over the territories of Luhansk and Donetsk Oblasts and ensure the stability of the so-called land corridor with occupied Crimea. In the South Bug direction, the main efforts of the occupiers are aimed at regaining lost positions and gaining full control over the territory of Kherson Oblast.

In eastern Ukraine, the enemy continues to prepare for an offensive. The Russian army forces withdrawn from the northern regions of Ukraine are being redeployed in the area of Matveyev Kurgan (Rostov Oblast, Russia). The redeployment of military equipment and personnel into Ukrainian territory is underway as well.

The main efforts of the enemy concentrated on taking control of the Rubizhne, Popasna, Nyzhnie and Novobakhmutivkа (Luhansk Oblast) settlements, establishing full control over the city of Mariupol. “The occupants are reinforcing the units of rocket forces and artillery with the tactical ballistic missile systems. The enemy is strengthening air reconnaissance, increasing the number of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV). Enemy units are conducting regrouping and trying to consolidate in the Izium direction, for this purpose they are creating reserves of fuel and lubricants, logistical support and ammunition replenishment”, added Motuzyanyk.

The threat of missile and air strikes from the territory of Belarus remains.
