The Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform hosted a presentation of three documentary series, “Military Intelligence of Ukraine: on the sea, in the sky, on the ground,” dedicated to militant operations with the participation of servicemen of the Military Intelligence Service of the Ministry of Defense in 2022. The initiators and authors of the series emphasized the crucial role of conveying to Ukraine and the world stories about the heroism of the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine.

“This is a military chronicle, but it’s an honest and emotional image shown through direct participants of various levels. We have a big war. The history of this war has not yet been written. In fact, we are doing this now: we are writing the history of our resistance. We are writing the history of this war, in which there are unique world-class things. We are trying to reflect at least part of them in this trilogy,” said Artem Shevchenko, the author of a series, journalist, and military serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 

“The country and the whole world should know about successful operations. We are talking not only about military intelligence but also about all defense forces. It is important to know by what superpowers this is all possible, how difficult it is, how risky it is from the moment of conception to the moment of implementation,” said Andriy Yusov, representative of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. 

“It helps convey information about the daily work of our soldiers and the feats they have done. They gave the most precious thing — their health and, unfortunately, many of them gave their lives. Thanks to such works, it is possible to remember them. As long as we think about them, they will live forever in our hearts,” said Yevhen Soloviov, Deputy Commander of the Helicopter Combat Squadron, Participant of Air Operations on Azovstal (Mariupol) and Snake Island, Hero of Ukraine.

1. “Air raid on Azovstal. Sky” documentary is about the air logistics operation in the spring of 2022 to provide the garrison of Mariupol defenders with the necessary supplies and evacuate the wounded.

2. “Kharkiv Counteroffensive. Land” documentary is about an offensive operation in the fall of 2022 by the Ukrainian Defense and Security Forces with the participation of the Kraken Assault Unit of Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. This operation led to the liberation of almost the entire Kharkiv region.

3. “Battle for Snake Island. Sea” documentary is about the struggle to restore Ukraine’s control over Snake Island. It features exclusive footage of the landing and combat operations by special forces on the island on May 8.
