Survivors of a Missile Hit to the Residential Building Will Receive Up to UAH 1 Million, Which They Can Use at Own Discretion — Borys Filatov, the Mayor
People affected by the russian missile hitting the nine-story building in Dnipro will receive financial assistance. Borys Filatov, Mayor of Dnipro, made this statement during the briefing in Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.
“We have taken the path of complete monetization. Each story of each family is an individual tragedy. People have different projects in life. Someone will want to buy housing on the secondary market, someone on the primary market, someone will want to move in with relatives… Now our efforts are aimed at helping with money as much as possible: to raise money and distribute it among people, and let people decide later. We have a program to compensate for property losses caused by missile attacks of russia. We will pay up to UAH 1 million from the local budget, which is about USD 25,000 at the exchange rate. Our Dnipro residents are amazing people. The whole city united, people carried what they could. So the things are not needed now. Money is the general equivalent,” Borys Filatov said.
