Successful operations causing destruction of russian fleet enable significant improvement to maritime security

Successful operations aimed at neutralizing the enemy fleet had a significant impact on the security situation at sea.

Dmytro Pletenchuk, Spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy, made this statement during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.

“Considering the fact that last year the enemy felt free in the central part of the Black Sea and entered the southwestern part of the Black Sea, but currently they (the russians – Ed.) can’t afford to do so. That is, first of all, our goal was to unblock our sea, to make it impossible for the enemy to influence our civil shipping, which is very important for Ukraine, for our exports, for the corresponding revenues to the budget. And this goal was achieved by the joint efforts of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, the Defense Intelligence and, of course, the Navy as well,” explained Dmytro Pletenchuk.
