“We see the need to organize an international security information forum to combat russian propaganda,” Tkachenko

Due to the ongoing spread of russian narratives, there is a need to hold an international forum on combating propaganda. Oleksandr Tkachenko, Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine spoke about this during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

“We have a good understanding with both our French colleagues and the organization “Reporters Without Borders” regarding the need to organize an international security information forum, within the framework of which experts could discuss a number of various issues related to battling russian propaganda and information security as a whole. Based on the results of research by our colleagues in Europe we see that russian narratives continue to spread. They exist not only offline, on traditional television, but also on online platforms, OTT platforms. And here cooperation, including with high-tech giants, is also extremely important. Without international support and coordination of efforts with colleagues in the West, we are unlikely to manage,” — the Minister said.
