“There will be water in Mykolaiv when repairs on the right bank of Kherson region are finished,” Serhii Khlan
It will be possible to restore water supply to Mykolaiv after the completion of restoration works in the liberated territory of Kherson region. Serhii Khlan, Deputy of the Kherson Oblast Council made this statement at a briefing at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.
“It will be possible to restore the Mykolaiv water pipeline. It will not take much time, because we now fully control the right-bank part of Kherson region and, accordingly, have access to the affected pipeline and to the pumping station that supplies water to this water pipeline. Therefore, as soon as the restoration works are finished, there will be water in Mykolaiv,” — the Deputy said.
Khlan added that it would be possible to cut off water supply to Crime after the control over Tavriisk is regained. It is the city where the main structure of the North Crimean Canal is located, and it was there that Ukraine blocked the water supply after the annexation of Crimea.
