The Ukrainian Pavilion at Web Summit Was Crowded — Marketing Director of UNIT.City on Ukraine’s Success at the Largest Technology Summit
The Ukrainian pavilion at the world Web Summit-2022 in Lisbon managed to draw attention not only to Ukrainian information technology, but also to the issue of war. Artem Boiko, Marketing Director of UNIT.City, which is a co-organizer of the Ukrainian pavilion at Web Summit, made this statement during the briefing in Media Center Ukraine.
According to him, this year Ukraine presented its pavilion for the second time at the Web Summit world technology conference held in Lisbon. And in the past year, representatives of our state experienced a lot of attention from representatives of companies and investors to Ukraine.
This year, the stand was designed entirely in the Ukrainian identity, and a separate zone was allocated to the UNITED-24 initiative.
“We made an immersive exhibition there, where people in VR could see what was happening in the war zone, in Kupiansk, in Bucha, in cities already known in the world. People could put on VR glasses and just see with their own eyes what was going on there and make donations immediately. The stand included a separate area with an amphitheater, where companies could present their products, hold their own presentations. We were a little worried that no one would attend these presentations, but there were always a lot of people there. When our celebrities like Usyk or the First Lady came, it was absolutely packed there. The attention to Ukraine was huge. And I’m sure it is not just because of the war. Those companies that were interested in Ukraine, who were interested in our start-ups, they came without even mentioning the war process,” Artem Boiko said.
For reference: Web Summit is the largest annual European technology conference. In 2022, the event gathered more than 71,000 participants.
