The enemy is constantly studying how Ukrainian air defense reacts to launched UCAVs, and currently mainly uses them at night. Yurii Ihnat, Spokesperson of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine spoke about this during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

“The russists realized that Shaheds are most effective for them to use at night, because at night there is no visual reference for the drones, and the means that can destroy them, such as small arms, anti-aircraft guns, large-caliber machine guns, which are often used against these UAVs, (can’t see them). If UAVs are launched at 11:00 PM, when the day begins according to moscow time, then the air raid alert may last by five in the morning. This is because the drone is not flying in a straight line. They can go around and fly in circles, avoiding air defense systems, and this increases the time. The average speed of the drone is 150 kilometers per hour. This is the flight task. And this has to be faced, and there are certain measures against it. All defense forces work in a unified air defense system that tries to destroy as many of these UCAVs as possible,” — Ihnat explained.
