“COVID-19 infection rate has somewhat decreased, but we are waiting for a new wave” Radutskyi

The number of new COVID-19 cases has decreased this week compared to the previous one. Currently, there are about 16,000 infected people in Ukraine, and 3,000 of them have been hospitalized. Mykhailo Radutskyi, Chair of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on Public Health, Medical Assistance and Medical Insurance made this statement at a briefing at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

“On average this is lower by a thousand than the week before last. But, on the other hand, we are observing a very sharp increase in the number of infections in European countries. Especially in neighboring countries such as Poland. We know what kind of traffic we have with Poland… Therefore, unfortunately, I cannot predict that this wave, this year’s wave has passed. WHO experts also believe that there will be further increase,” — Radutskyi added.
